This is my guide to being "that girl" and, consequentially, making him want you more:

 Be confident
This goes beyond thinking highly of yourself. Being confident means being secure in yourself and in what you're doing. It means that while you're open to dating prospects, you're happy by yourself--you don't need anyone. Obviously, this is easier said than done, so my advice is: fake it until you make it.

Work hard
. Recently, a guy said this to me: "Bea, when you're working...God, I can't describe it. There's just something about it; you're so hot when you work." When you work hard, it shows men that you have goals and priorities beyond dating.

Worry less.
Worry less. It's hard not to care about what others think of you, but I've found that the most attractive girls were not the ones who had the best style or the most accessories, but the ones who didn't give a damn. I'm certainly not saying you should dress like a slob; just worry less.
Smile mo re. This one should be a no-brainer.

Be passionate
. When I told a guy that I loved life, he said it was the hottest thing he'd ever heard. Again, this goes along with showing men you have interests besides dating. Be proactive in your life; attend belly dancing classes, learn a new language, participate in a missions trip to Africa--whatever floats your boat.

Be unpredictable
. When a guy can predict your every response to his every move, that's when he loses interest in you. That's when you get the classic "hot and cold" guy. He comes to you when he needs an ego boost, and when you respond positively (and predictably), he turns cold.

Respect others
. When people say men like bitches, they don't mean bitches who treat others like crap. Guys hate getting involved in petty gossip and it shows your insecurity when you insult another person. Contrary to popular belief, men do like nice women.

Be positive
Nobody likes to listen to hateful rants. Try this: for every sentence that begins with "I hate", throw in ten sentences that begin with "I love"
.
Respect yourself
. This means creating boundaries and sticking to them. This means saying "no" when you know something isn't good for you. For me, this means saying "no" to hooking up outside of a relationship. For everyone, this means preserving your dignity
.
Be yourself
This is the last and most important point in this list. Often, I find that I censor myself less with guys I'm not that into, which results in my personality coming across more, and (you guessed it!) their interest peaking. Say what you really mean, and if a man can't handle it, he isn't worth your time anyway.

Bottom line
don't let him dictate your actions. I've been a doormat a few times too many, so I know that it's not easy to follow this list. But I promise that if you try, you'll see results. For more relationship tips, head over to my blog.
